AT&T U-VERSE Field Manager Trainee
AT&T is looking to hire College Graduates (December 2011/May/June 2012) for our U-Verse Leadership Development Program - U-Verse Field Manager Trainee (Metro St. Louis area)Requirements :
- Graduating with a BS/BA in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science - Winter 2011/Spring 2012
- GPA of 3.0 and above
- Leadership experience (through internships, associations, clubs, etc.)
- Ability to drive for results and track measures of success
- Must possess strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.
- Demonstrated technical and mechanical aptitude/ability
In this two phase leadership development program, you will receive in-depth technical training followed by a Supervisory/Leadership role. This position offers a starting salary of $52,000 with a potential 10% annual target bonus.
Phase 1:
This is a Manager Network Services Trainee role for the U-verse Field Operations organization. The trainee will be required to successfully complete U-verse Premises Technician training and demonstrate learned skills. Participants will perform riding exercises with experienced technicians and be provided with hands on technical training. At the completion of the training, they will be required to independently perform the Premises Technician job duties for 30 days.
Supervisory: No
Upon successful completion of the Manager Trainee development plan and demonstrated performance, the Trainee will progress to the Supervisory responsibilities described below with a 10% increase in base salary.
Phase 2:
Your position will serve as a Manager of AT&T's U-Verse organization. In this 1 st level supervisory position, you will coach, lead and develop a group of Technicians in achieving performance and quality objectives associated with AT&T's U-Verse Field Operations organization. As a member of this team, you will supervise 15-18 subordinates who will engage in the installation, rearrangement, removal, and/or repair of station inside wiring terminals in connection with U-Verse services. You may also be responsible for managing the installation, repair, and testing of network terminating equipment at the customer premise and handle customer escalations, interact with other work groups to ensure timely resolution of service issues, and lead service improvement teams as assigned.
Responsibilities include serving as duty supervisor and ensure a professional demeanor across the work group. You must possess strong performance management and communication skills in order to deliver a consistent message of performance expectations. Performance will be evaluated through the use of quality and safety observations and ride-day exercises as well as coach/mentor technicians on the changing competitive environment, new technical practices, and customer contact skills. You will schedule force appropriate to workload and analyze previous workload trends to make necessary adjustments. Work days, at times, can be in excess of normal hours and requires weekends (particularly Saturdays), night and/or holiday duty. Work location may change within city.
