Position Location: San Leandro-CA, Reno-NV, or Bradenton-FL
The Business Analyst (BA) is solely responsible for the analysis, design and development of the necessary requirements to support system development efforts for a specific business unit(s). The BA manages and coordinates these activities from beginning to end through the use of best practices focused on problem solving, requirements gathering, analytical assessment and deliverables management.
The BA meets with end users (managers, department heads) and conducts user requirements gathering interviews to determine all necessary functional/business requirements. Develops and documents system objectives, interface requirements, integrity requirements, performance and operational requirements. Works with various IT team members to develop required functional specifications and obtain necessary development and testing resources. Updates functional specifications.

· Able to understand, abstract and communicate any business problem in a way that multiple audiences (technical and non-technical) can relate to. · Understands how to use technology to competitive advantage and to solve business issues · Develops and maintains an intimate understanding of business operations and identifies opportunities for operational efficiency through core PeopleSoft utilization and system enhancements · Maintains a strong process orientation. Approaches business problems from holistic perspective and assesses impacts across the organization. · Facilitates requirement collection with toolkit of techniques to manage requirements from diverse cross-functional teams that may be in remote locations. · Facilitates business change (making the business change easier for impacted individuals/orgs). Prepares user guides, training, implementation checklists, FAQs, etc. · Evaluates the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys and workshops. Documents the results of analysis in business cases, workflows, business requirements and functional design documents and obtains sign-off from the appropriate client and stakeholders. · Collects and analyzes the project’s business requirements and effectively transfers the knowledge to business, development and quality teams by writing functional specifications that are clear, unambiguous, detailed, accurate and verifiable/testable. Functional specifications may cover a broad range of requirements such as user interface (screen, and GUI designs), reports, data conversions, interfaces to other applications, (including customizations to and interfaces between applications), exception handling, security and other non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, system availability, etc.). · Works collaboratively with the development team throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure the client and stakeholders’ business needs are met. · Identifies business scenarios for testing and documents in use cases · Coordinates user acceptance testing with the groups of business unit...
