. Build agent and broker relationships, find sources, and be creative in placing risks and identifying product opportunities . Produce income by brokering multiple lines of insurance . WE EXPECT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO:
. Build and maintain a successful book of business . Define and monitor successful sales and marketing strategies in cooperation with senior management . Supervise execution of company underwriting guidelines, corporate policy and procedures, and compliance with contract terms . Find, build, broker, and manage relationships with retail agents and brokers . Monitor competitive climate in cooperation with the corporate headquarters . Drive consistency and quality in operational processes . Find and cultivate brokerage markets . Be creative in developing solutions for individual risk placement as well as program business development . Have demonstrated evidence of strong retailer relationships, particularly with - o Retailers with $5,000,000 revenue or greater o "Business Insurance Top 100" . Work independently, yet have the capability to build a team of up and coming brokers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience . MBA preferred . Minimum 6 years outside sales experience, preferably with a wholesaler . Proven track record of building and maintaining a book of business . Multi-line underwriting experience preferred . Appropriate agent and broker licensing and CE credits, as needed . CPCU or other industry designation(s) a plus . Active Membership in NAPSLO, Big-I and other industry organizations a plus . Demonstrated experience of being a team player in a highly driven sales environment
QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED:
. Underwriting expertise with excess and surplus lines preferred . CPCU, CIC or comparable designations . Insurance license preferred . B2B Sales & Marketing experience in the insurance industry
