Overview:
This Manager, Release Planning will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Release plan across all technology divisions. The person will closely work with Enterprise Portfolio, Product Management, Engineering/QA, and Release Engineering teams to manage overall release plan & calendar. This person will be focused on release planning, release change control and release readiness in coordination with each application area to ensure smooth hand off to release engineering for deployments to production.
Key Accountabilities:
Maintain the Release schedule and key Release milestones across all mcom/bcom programs / projects / applications.
Work closely with technology teams to identify capacity of scheduled releases.
Identify and communicate dependencies across programs / projects for release.
Facilitate cross-program planning to manage dependencies and resolve conflicts.
Lead impact assessments based on project date changes and communicate results.
Identify, track and drive issues & risks to closure.
Close loop with the portfolio and product management teams on scope/features deferred from a release.
Regularly audit release process for SOX compliance.
Skills Summary:
Bachelor's Degree or comparable job-related experience is required.
Experience as release planner with agile or iterative development experience.
Experience with full lifecycle Web Application Project Management from inception through deployment.
Experience leading a release planning process across multiple teams / projects for multiple applications.
Experience developing integrated work plans across multiple complex programs and project including identification of key dependencies & critical path to deliver achievable release plans.
