Do you have a passion for solving complex business problems? KPMG's Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues - managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs - that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join us in our New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Charlotte, or Atlanta office. We also have availability in other KPMG locations.

KPMG's Regulatory Risk professionals provide regulatory and compliance advisory assistance to financial institutions who want to enhance their regulatory risk management efforts. As a member of the Regulatory Risk team, you'll work with clients to help create a culture of compliance, by improving internal approaches to meeting regulatory obligations, and implementing effective programs and solutions. You will work with our experienced professionals, who include former regulators, supervisors, examiners, and compliance professionals.

Responsibilities for both positions:
- Lead bank regulatory and financial service company advisory engagements
- Contribute professional articles to industry and regulatory publications, write white papers on regulatory issues and developments, prepare regulatory practice letters addressing current developments, and speak at outside seminars on current safety and soundness and compliance issues
- Take a lead role in the development and implementation of new regulatory compliance methodologies and protocols as laws change and new regulations emerge
- Participate in the development and delivery of specialized internal and external training on regulatory
- Write and present clear and concise reports and presentations containing meaningful recommendations
- Lead and support proposal and business development activities by identifying new target clients, building business relationships with key executives, and developing and presenting proposals

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:
- Lead business development efforts for primary target clients
- Provide a leadership role on KPMG thought leadership efforts
- Serve as a leader in recruiting and retention efforts to grow/develop the practice

Qualifications for both positions:
- Seven years of bank regulatory experience as a manager, examiner, or advisor at a large or mid-size institution or like experience as an advisory professional
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Strong sense of required controls for regulatory compliance and safety/soundness and Federal laws, rules, and regulations associated with safety and soundness Regulatory
- Excellent business development and presentation skills
- Previous management responsibilities and project management experience
- Willingness to travel out-of-town up to eighty percent of the time

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
- Ten years advisory services or project management experience
- Progressive experience leading teams and managing projects
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of various levels
