We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join us in our Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tampa, or Dallas office.

KPMG's Regulatory Risk professionals provide regulatory and compliance advisory assistance to financial institutions who want to enhance their regulatory risk management efforts. As a member of the Regulatory Risk team, you'll work with clients to help create a culture of compliance, by improving internal approaches to meeting regulatory obligations, and implementing effective programs and solutions. You will work with our experienced professionals, who include former regulators, supervisors, examiners, and compliance professionals.

Responsibilities for both positions:
- Assist with bank regulatory advisory and other Financial Risk Management engagements
- Contribute to industry and regulatory publications; write white papers, regulatory practice letters, and professional articles; speak at outside seminars on current safety/soundness and compliance issues
- Help ensure the development and implementation of new regulatory compliance methodologies and protocols as new regulations emerge and laws change
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with client personnel
- Assist with the design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings and present them in a clear, logical, and concise manner

Additional responsibilities for Senior Associate:
- Supervise and mentor Associates and Interns on engagements
- Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management
- Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management
- Assist in scope, development, and presentation of proposals and engagements

Qualifications for both positions:
- One year of bank regulatory experience as a supervisor, examiner, or advisor at a large or mid-size institution, or similar experience as an advisory professional
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Strong sense of regulatory requirements for compliance and safety/soundness matters and federal laws, rules, and regulations associated with safety/soundness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel eighty percent of the time

Additional qualifications for Senior Associate:
- Three years of bank regulatory experience as a supervisor, examiner, or advisor at a large or mid-size institution, or similar experience as an advisory professional
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing workloads
- Ability to effectively work independently, as well as part of a team
