We are seeking a Sr. Director of Field Marketing who will manage the field marketing strategy for the Americas geography, National Partners, and WW Distribution while overseeing regional execution and metrics tracking. In this role, the individual will be responsible for managing a team of 10+ marketing managers who are collectively responsible for managing the marketing of the Americas channel partner community and distributors, driving regional demand generation and pipeline for the Americas, and establishing relationships with and driving regional marketing plans with our alliance partners. The goal of the team is twofold:
1) to establish and maintain industry-leading channel and alliance partner relationships with best in class joint marketing engagements and:
2) to generate pipeline and increase revenue by working in partnership with corporate marketing, sales alliances and channel partners, balancing a portfolio of opportunities for both new and existing customers.
The successful candidate must have a solid track record of developing field specific lead generation programs, developing and executing go-to-market strategies and plans with channel partners and distributors, managing teams and working cross-functionally with a high degree of success.
The right candidate must be exceptionally metrics-driven, with strong partnership development skills, and possess a keen understanding of joint partner marketing, lead development and program execution and follow up in addition to having a proven track recording of understanding, working with and growing channels. This position will report to the VP, WW Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Oversee marketing managers with the planning and execution of demand creation activities (logistics, subject matter expertise, processes, management, etc.) related to new product introductions and solutions.
Support and drive the company’s vision messages/themes to establish value through seminars and other regional events and marketing tactics while building brand & customer loyalty and support trusted relationships.
Develop strong regional relationships with key channel partner and alliance partner organizations and drive regional marketing plans and execution with those partner communities.
Grow the pipeline to increase the revenue achievement with Americas VARs, National Partners and Distributors.
Drive active awareness of brand, messaging, positioning and marketing programs to customers and partners in the geography.
Monitor progress & measure results of all key marketing campaigns through regular pipeline inspection & deal tracking.
Build and maintain strong rapport and ongoing communications with Customers, Partners, Prospects, sales and marketing teams. Ability to understand the marketing process for demand generation, capturing and recording key qualification and data segmentation about customers and target audience.
Ensure balanced portfolio of opportunities for both new and existing customers for all products and service offerings.
Drive to develop and execute local and regional strategies for the Americas in partnership with the vice president of Americas sales, regional sales VPs, and distribution teams.
Provide consistent communication including dashboards and reports outlining quantifiable results, campaign ROI, program analyses and recommendations to senior management.
Manage a multi-million dollar MDF & operational expense budget.
Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a technical field; an MBA degree is a plus.
A minimum of ten years marketing experience in a high tech company. Previous experience as a director in a field, channel or distribution marketing role. Extensive experience working with the channel/distribution and motivating sales organizations toward performance metrics.
Strong relationships within distribution and national channel partner organizations within the network, storage or enterprise platform solution providers.
Self-starter, leads and facilitates management of details needed to accomplish tasks; simultaneous management of several programs and initiatives.
