Location and team

KEMA, Inc. is seeking full time field energy auditors to be based in various locations across California; the duration is about six months with the possibility of becoming full time.

Tasks may include

• Travel throughout the state performing household energy assessments
• Identify and inventory equipment and appliances in homes
• Identify building shell characteristics
• Interact with residential utility customers
• Maintain daily correspondence via email or telephone with project managers
• Electronically submitting completed work via KEMA-issued Apple iPads
• Represent KEMA and the state agency client with the utmost courtesy and professionalism

What we're asking

• Bachelor's degree
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Willingness to work evening hours and weekends on occasion
• Willingness to work in variable weather conditions including brief periods of extreme heat
• Comfortable working on an Apple iPad, and adaptable to new software

• Possess a valid driver's license
• Willing to travel in California by means of a personal vehicle that can accommodate a small ladder up to 6 feet in length (CA state mileage reimbursement rates will be paid for all work travel)
• Willingness to regularly spend weeklong periods away from home
• Excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills, trustworthy and reliable
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl in attics, and walk on rooftops (safety training will be provided)
• Ability to lift 20 pounds
• Proficient at using basic tools such as a screw driver or measuring tape
• Willingness and ability to pass a pre-employment background check

Reimbursement will apply to all travel expenses. Overtime will be paid when needed as the qualified employee's assigned workload will be based on performance. Assuming the employee performs at a high level, the workload will be 40 hours per week. Perodic requests for time off will be granted but will not be paid. This is a U.S. - based position; applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S.
